The birth of Miimi Marraal

 The introduction to the word ‘Miimi Marraal’ was soon followed by a detailed study of it. Upon learning the definition and everything else about it was not long before we knew this is the name we identify with the most. The environmentalists in us danced with ecstasy as we knew where we were headed with it. And so we, a rising home-grown Australian team of entrepreneurs decided that this would be the name of our brand.

 At the time we were looking for a suitable name for our brand of educational and developmental toys for kids. When we came upon the word, we considered it nothing short of divine intervention, in this case, the blessings of mother Earth herself. From the research, it was gathered that this word’s origin rested in the Gumbaynggirr language, one of Australia's First Nations dialects. The most fascinating thing about these first nations is that ‘mother Earth’ is the essence of their being. To them, all knowledge evolves and depends on this storehouse of knowledge, teacher, and guardian of the generations to come. We instantly felt a connection. That is what got us hooked on these two words!

 On further study of the concept, we realized that just like our biological mother, mother Earth has an automated way of providing us with every amenity required for survival. Unfortunately, her kids seem to have become ‘the naughty’ lot. It grieves us to see the unimaginable level of exploitation of our resources. A greater grievance, however, is to be a witness to the massive destruction of this depot of resources.

 That is when it all fell into place and we christened our brand ‘Miimi Marraal’, meaning ‘Mother Earth’.

 Our connection with Mother Earth

 The love for the land is probably a part of our DNA, a rather predominant part it could be said. The reason behind this is the realization of the fact that we are a product of the amalgamation of the various elements of the universe. We have always felt very grateful to nature and thought it only fair to be able to give back to it as much as possible. For want of knowledge in how to do it through our daily life, we began looking the little ways that we could do it in.

 As a team we believe that it is our responsibility to hold the five elements of our being in the highest regard – Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether. It is time we come to terms with the fact that our connection with Mother Earth and the other elements is very fundamental and pure.

However, we knew that we were not content with just our brand being dedicated to this cause. We wanted it to go viral, we intend to raise a revolution - a revolution of going back to nature with the use of sustainable products.

 Let’s rejuvenate and strengthen the bond with Mother Earth 

 Like they say, “better late than never” our team at Miimi Marraal would love to rebuild the bridge between humans and nature. This we plan to achieve by keeping sustainability at the core of our operations. While we currently focus on providing state-of-the-art toys intended for educating and developing children; we ensure to make them out of eco-friendly material.

Our sustainable and environment-friendly products are the perfect substitute for your hazardous plastic products. We have applied the same ideology to our eateries as the stepping stones to the green revolution that we wish to create. We intend to spread awareness of becoming responsible individuals in judiciously using the resources, just as we try to, within our trade. This way we will invariably achieve victory over another exceedingly glaring menace of society at large – wastage. Correct usage of resources certainly cuts down on wastage and consequently saves resources for important tasks.

Unfortunately, the adults around us need awareness and tutelage in this regard. This is what made us think, if we have to achieve an optimal green revolution, we need to turn our focus to the upcoming generations who are our future. That was the exact thought behind us beginning our journey of this from the toddlers.
